Introduction

Have you noticed that every day, TV analysts on mainstream stations like CNN, MSNBC and others talk about the need for "energy security" but only mention oil, which often results in wars, while renewables are ignored. This is just an indication of how oil and gas interests control our governments and media.

At the UN Climate Conference at Glasgow last November there were 503 fossil-fuel lobbyists there, which was far more than any other delegation without including all the FF lobbyists embedded in country delegations, which would bring the total to well over 600.

Since last year, oil companies profits are way up by jacking up gas prices - Exxon up 57%, Chevron up 84%, Shell up 49%, and BP up 45%.

What We’re Doing, and How You Can Help

The Texas Drought Project was formed in the fall of 2008 when we worked on the first big US climate bill called Waxman-Markey. In the following years, we did much-need climate education and then a series of large successful campaigns. 

In the wake of COP26 in Glasgow, we have made a strong push to get people to call, write, and email 6 targeted Texas Democrats in hopes of pushing them and Biden to act boldly for the climate.

We need only $2500 per month to sustain this critical push to our last best chance for a safe future.  Any donation of $100 or more will be matched!
