THE GREEN NEW DEAL
The Green New Deal you’ve been hearing about is the best national climate effort we’ve ever had. The GND consists of guidelines with very strong equity provisions together with sound guiding principles which conform to the suggestions of our top scientists.

GREEN NEW DEAL CAMPAIGN: ORGANIZING TO GET MORE CONGRESSIONAL SUPPORTERS & THANK PRESENT CONGRESSIONAL SUPPORTERS

In order to get more congressional endorsers of the Green New Deal, the Texas Drought Project is assembling strong, diverse coalitions of local, statewide, and national groups in four congressional districts in Houston, three in the Metroplex and two in the Rio Grande Valley to gain additional Texas sponsors. Already, Representatives Castro, Doggett and Escobar have endorsed the Green New Deal. These coalitions include farmers and other rural organizations, labor unions, environmental groups, faith organizations, social justice advocates and more

Now that Joe Biden has been elected, we are working hard to encourage our Texas representatives to push for stronger climate legislation and a ban on fracking.  To carry on this campaign we need the financial support of people like you. Please visit our donate page to help now.

LET’S THANK OUR CLIMATE CHAMPIONS*
