COP26: Days 3 & 4

As the Glasgow Climate Conference continues, we see more of the usual hypocrisy by world leaders and too little meaningful commitment to action. Read on for opinion pieces and reports that pierce the fossil-fuel-soaked facade, then please spend just 3 minutes of your time to call the White House.

We hope that video motivated you to express your outrage against the actions of our government and its inaction on climate change, Please call the White House Comment line at 202-456-1111, and tell President Biden that we’re tired of the same old lies. That it’s unacceptable to open up more land to drilling, grant more permits, or continue with pipeline construction. Tell him we MUST leave fossil fuels in the ground, there is no alternative.

What We’re Doing, and How You Can Help

The Texas Drought Project was formed in the fall of 2008 when we worked on the first big US climate bill called Waxman-Markey. In the following years, we did much-need climate education and then a series of large successful campaigns. 

In anticipation of COP26 in Glasgow, we have made a strong push to get people to call, write, and email 6 targeted Texas Democrats in hopes of pushing them and Biden to act boldly for the climate.

We need only $2500 per month to sustain this critical push to our last best chance for a safe future.  Any donation of $100 or more will be matched!
